The Capital Quilters Guild of Raleigh, North Carolina, held its first meeting in April 1978, was incorporated in July of 1979 and officially became a non-profit organization in May of 1984. As of June 2007 there were 410 members.

Our purpose is to promote and perpetuate the art of quilting by teaching and sponsoring events.  The work of the guild is designed to benefit and educate all persons interested in preserving, continuing and advancing this art.

Cancellation Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, if classes are cancelled for Wake County Public Schools, so is our meeting that evening.

Workshop Times

We start class at 9 and go until 3:30. Pack a lunch (fridge and microwave available) ... and get there before 9 to set up....

Workshops are usually held at Highland United Methodist Church located on the corner of Ridge Rd and Lake Boone Trail.

We meet in the Youth Assembly Room on the third floor. Follow the sidewalk from the parking lot, past the multipurpose room and turn right below the stairs and go through the double glass doors. Turn right toward the multipurpose room to the elevator and go to the third floor. Turn right off the elevator and you'll hear us in the room in front of you.
