NCQS 2011 raffle quilt

The winner of our beautiful opportunity quilt is Candy Joehrendt of Raleigh, NC. Congratulations!

“History Revisited…Old is New Again,” was made with patterns adapted from quilts in the collection of the North Carolina Museum of History. Members of the Fabricator Bee (Capital Quilters Guild) used a variety of batiks and current fabrics to give the piece a fresh contemporary look. The quilt was custom machine-quilted by Sarah Porreca. Thank-you to all who purchased tickets for this beautiful 96”x80” batik quilt to benefit Alzheimer’s Association-Eastern NC chapter.

We hope you enjoyed visiting the show as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you! Our next show will be in 2013.

Please take some time to enjoy the mini quilt show of some of the winning quilts from the 2011 North Carolina Quilt Symposium. You may see an enlarged picture of each by clicking on the thumbnail pictures of the individual quilts. We will be adding more of the winners soon, so check back to see all the ribbon winners.
